I'm so sorry because I have not updated in over a month, or rather two, but since I arrived in Germany I have been very busy in terms of paperwork and also at the residence until early October did not provide us the necessary good for us all "Internet Connection". But i have delayed even more, because I was too lazy to write anything not related to climbing, and It is less possible because I don’t spend so much time at home due to the hectic lifestyle we lead with here in kassel, because we haven’t got so many lectures, we spend so much time on parties drinking a lot of beers and also the training..., which is the only thing I never neglect.

First Nigth with Erasmus People!!

Jone trinkt zwei groB bier!

The farewell of Spain has been great, although I could not complete all the projects that I expected, but I managed to achieve “La noche del mamifero" 8a in valdegobia and "Planeta Renco y los Turistas R1", 8a but i was unable to connect with topofurer askatu, but at least it's something and now in Kassel, what I have to do is train and enjoy the experience to cross off projects when I will go back in Christmas.

one of the first dinners at Jone's House

The farewell was very moving and I had a great time, having together all my best friends and colleagues was amazing, as many of them I dind´t meet for a long time, and have all the guilds there was brutal, Depravaos, climbers, taekwondo, those of the uni, friends of the band, the Boston colleagues .... was an unforgettable experience, but the end of the party made me feel very angry because of the situation, but I hope you enjoy it, because it was a pleasure having you there.

The 20th of september Jone, my partner, and I put way to Kassel, a trip that was filled of concern,  I forgot to do the pre-payment of the stay of the first semester, so I was not going to be handed the keys of my flat and if we added that my credit card also did not worked... Thanks to Jone I could pay the rent for the entire semester while I was waiting my parents send me another Credit card from Spain. But after a few days full of stress the problem was solved.

The first week we lived as a couple, because do not why we were not able to meet any Erasmus over all this time, until one day,  by chance we heard Spanish voices. We met Maria, Cecilia, Dani, Claudia (Italy), Ryan (USA), Luis and Priscilla (Brasil), Fernando, Alba ... which, since that they have become very special people for us.

 Beer, beer, and more beer!

What about Kassel ... as a city it is pretty ugly, but it has some beautiful parks, which almost daily I pass through them doing jogging, but what we really love of the place, is the people we have met, all the Erasmus, Master Students and regular students, everybody is very nice. Although it is difficult to make friends with the Germans, because they are a bit "rude", but not my flat mates.

I live in the campus, but of course, our faculty of engineering, as anywhere in the world, it is separated from everything, but It does not matter much, because it takes 10 min by tram. And It is also very me closed to the climbing gym, perfect for my. I share a flat with 4 great people, two Germans (Chris and Heiner), with a Chilean guy (Eduardo) and with his girlfriend from USA (Amy).

On the other hand, the teaching method is very different from Spain, but in theory all is more practical, seminars with teachers, practices, less class hours, and although I do not know for sure, people say that they learn more working less.

The subjects we are studying Jone and me, unlike other degrees, we take lessons of Master courses, which all our partners are engineers, mostly from Asia (Turkey, Bangladesh, India, China, Persia, Libya ...). Right now I hardly understand anything in class, but everything is a challenge, and I love to this kind of experiences. At least, all that we are being taught in class is a strange mix of a few subjects that we have already studied in Spain, so now, what we have to manage is to understand everything very well in English.

 ECE students

What about the german .... It is a sketchy language but very fun to study.

beginner class of the first two weeks Deutschkurs

Returning to the first two weeks, in which we carry out all necessary paperwork and checking into the city, we sent to our home university "Certificate of Arrival", the health insurance, payments of language courses ... etc , and the most important thing "Find a climbing Wall". Although this does not seem like a climbing blog it was supposed to be but now.... I can tell you little more,  only that I have been involved in training without going out to rock, but the climbing gym wall is amazing, there aren’t places like that in the north of Spain and I am meeting many Germans, but the funniest thing is that the first person I knew in the "KLETTERNZENTRUM NORHESSEN" was a guy from Madrid, settled for some years in Germany with who I usually train, he is called Miguel.

On the other hand, I must comment how is the Erasmus lifestyle? What do you think?? The truth is that it's great because apart from relying on yourself for everything, which helps you to grow as a person enough, we live with great people, in an excellent environment where each day are parties everywhere, if not in a bar or nightclub in any student flat, fun is guaranteed in Kassel and the party is never missing anywhere. In addition, all the trips we've done, they are few, and as I hope they will grow.

El Lolita, Cuba Club, the Arm, SODA, Irish Pub, K19, Mutter, el Campus Club, Las Uni Party in Ingenier-schule…

I can mention the pubs and clubs that we have been to, places that you may know if in the future you plan a trip to visit me, but then I am not sure if someone is going to come ... jeje. The Lolita, Cuba Club, the Arm, SODA, Irish Pub, K19, Mutter, Campus Club, The Uni-schule Ingenier Party in ...

The first great folly we did was going to Munich on a Saturday and return the next day, 8 hour round trip back 11 hours to 7 hours of party in the "Oktober Fest", it was worth but what finally wasn’t what we expected, but at least we can say we've been there.

We have visited places like Göttingen, Fulda and we have left to visit before Christmas or later: Köln, Berlin, Hannover, Hamburg, Bonn...

Eisenach, we visited there the house of Johann Sebastian Bach, famous Musician

Actually, we have lived the best moments in the house parties, in which the police have cleared a couple of times when we were celebrating birthdays. And the last big party was in an underground bunker of the Haupbanhof train station in Halloween. I will put some photos from all this to make you feel a little bit envy.... But I don’t want to give envy, it is to show you that you're going to go enjoy.

My cake for Alba's birthday

Finally, referring to climbing, I've been working on my training the last month and a half to take part in a couple of championships, and this Saturday 5th, I have the first proof of Boulder "rock and jump" in the vertical world,It is a boulder competition in which I hope I will give everything I have. And the following week, the 13th of November, there is a lead climbing competition int he place I train. The competition is a proof of the Hesse and West Germany championships. And what is new for me is that I'm training with rope every day instead of doing traverses as in Spain, It is a blast!

Jejeje

Thats all frineds! I will wait you here, I miss you so much but sometimes I haven’t got so much free time to miss you, because I'm having a really bad.... jejeje
